Stars shine bright for Christmas

Sunrise’s Natalie Barr and Matt Shirvington are set to dazzle when the duo from Australia’s #1 brekky show co-host this year’s 2023 Woolworths Carols in the Domain.

Celebrating its 41st anniversary, the special event will be held in Sydney’s iconic Domain this Saturday, 16 December and broadcast nationally on Channel 7 and 7plus on Saturday, 23 December from 7.30pm.

Nat and Matt will be joined by Carols’ best-ever line-up of performers to deck the halls and celebrate Australia’s most magical Christmas tradition, with special appearances from Santa himself and everyone’s favourite, The Wiggles.

Plus, in a historic first for the event, Woolworths Carols in the Domain conducted a nationwide poll to unveil Australia's most-loved Christmas carols, with the top 20 set to be officially revealed throughout the show.

“Carols in the Domain is special,” said Natalie Barr. “It’s that one night in the year where we sit around with our families and friends and eat, drink, laugh and sing.

“It means Christmas is close, we’ve made it through another year, and we can sit back and be thankful we live in a beautiful, peaceful country.

“It’s pure joy and that’s why Australians have loved it for so many years. I can’t wait!"

Matt Shirvington added: “Carols in the Domain has been an Aussie Christmas tradition for decades.

”I’ve watched it with my family since I was a boy, so to now be on stage hosting for the first time is quite surreal!

“It’s been a big year, and I can’t wait to help spread some Christmas cheer right across the country.”
